The bailiwick of the king's serjeanty and a profit called faldage, for each beast taken and detained in the fold for the king's debt, in winter 1/2 d. and in summer 1/4 d. each night; and 4 bovates of land in Wavertre and 4 bovates of land in Everton annexed to the said bailiwick. Waleton. The manor, held for life, by a fine between the said William and one Alan le Norreys with remainder to Simon his eldest son, by free service of 60s. yearly, whereof Alice his mother renders a third part. Simon his son, aged 16 3/4 and married six years ago, is his next heir.
This is the printed calendar on British History Online, not the inquisition file. The file was not opened. Faldage is a halfpenny in winter and a farthing in summer, not four pence and one penny. The inquisition names Everton, not Newsham. It does not name Henry, Gilbert, Waldeve, or a wife. Anilla is not in this entry.
