Nugent's abstract of a 560-acre Isle of Wight patent, 20 August 1650, Patent Book 2, page 240, names Richard Walton among eleven persons. The heading names Robert Blake and Samuell Eldridge. The body says the acres were due to Flake and Eldridge. Both spellings are kept. He is not matched to any other Richard Walton.
